We welcome membership to all who love the Kalahari Red goat and want to be part of our team here at KRGSA. Membership is available in several categories whether you’re a commercial farmer, fullblood stud breeder or international breeder. We have 2 registers that are available to all members, Kalahari Red fullblood goats and Kalahari Red upgraded/commercial goats.
Memberships run from 1st July – 30th June each year. Any new member joining throughout the year will have their membership fees pro-rata calculated to the closest 1st day of each month. Membership fees paid are non- refundable.
Full Member: $300.00
Associate Member: $100.00
International Member: $350.00

Please note: KRGSA is not currently GST registered, therefor NO GST applies to the above membership fees.
Kalahari Red goats will be registered as fullbloods with their accompanying registered paperwork showing proof of bloodlines.. Any DNA Parental Certified Kalahari Red fullblood goat will be recognized with a DNA certified seal on their registration certificate.
Members must have the accompanying certificates for transfer from other goat societies. KRGSA will only accept international fullblood goats from SABGBA including registration certificates showing their fullblood genetics from South Africa.
KRGSA registered fullblood goats for sale must complete their transfer of ownership transaction within 30 days of sale, should the selling member not complete this duty, ramifications will be issued by the board.
The upgrade commercial registry will comprise of 5 Grades. All commercial upgraded goats must be over a registered Kalahari Red fullblood buck or semen, to be registered under the commercial registry and allocated a certificate.
F1 = First Cross 50.00 % Kalahari Red fullblood genetics crossed with another breed of goat.
F2 = Second Cross 75.00 % Kalahari Red fullblood genetics “
F3 = Third Cross 87.50 % Kalahari Red fullblood genetics “
F4 = Fourth Cross 93.75% Kalahari Red fullblood genetics “
F5 = Fifth Cross 96.88% Kalahari Red fullblood genetics “
No Commercial upgraded goat can ever get to fullblood status.
Only goats with fullblood genetics from South African bloodlines can be registrable as fullblood goats.
The registry service KRGSA is in partnership with is the LIVESTOCK & BUSINESS CENTRE in Kiama NSW.
